Workplace Learning

St Luke's College is fortunate to have a renowned relationship with our local Industry. We have the support of just over 40 local businesses assisting our students with work placements.

Students gain exposure to the demands of the working environment and develop skills directly related to industries they would like to move into when they finish schools.

Work placements can lead to future apprenticeships or careers within the community.

Students are also giving the opportunity to combine a certificate course with Workplace Learning enabling them to gain greater credentials for when they leave the College.

Our VET / Careers Coordinator, Carol Potter does an incredible job working one on one with students to assist them with suitable work placements.

The aim of workplace learning is to have students move from business to business to gain a broader knowledge and understanding of the working environment but also aids students in narrowing their future career direction/options when leaving school.
