BYOD

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program

Background

St Luke's College uses a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program.  The school, in consultation with its information technology provider and stakeholders, has determined specifications appropriate for usage at the College. Students will need to bring their own computer device to school.

The device specifications identify the minimum and recommended requirements for student devices. This will seek to ensure that the functional activities that the devices are required to support are met.

Use of Devices

Students will use their devices in class for a variety of tasks, and the devices must be fit for purpose and capable of carrying out these functions. Use requirements for a Year 8 student will be different from those of a Year 12 student.

St Luke's College requires that students choose a device that accords with the BYOD specification to ensure that their BYOD maximises their learning experiences.
