Celebrating Book Week 2026 at St Luke's College!

What a fantastic week of reading, creativity and fun we have had at St Luke's College as we celebrated Book Week 2026 !

Our English team pulled out all the stops, organising a fantastic range of activities for students and staff to enjoy throughout the week. From mystery readers to quizzes and magical scavenger hunts, there was something for everyone to get involved in.

One of the highlights was Masked Reader , where PCGs were challenged to put their detective skills to the test and guess which mystery staff member was hiding behind the book! Students also battled it out in Kahoot quizzes , testing their knowledge of books, authors and all things literary.

Adding a touch of magic to the week was our Harry Potter scavenger hunt , which had students exploring the College in search of clues and completing challenges along the way.

Tuesday was the big event , with students and staff invited to dress up as their favourite book characters. The College was transformed into a colourful collection of heroes, villains and much-loved literary characters, with some truly creative costumes on display!

As always, the staff dress-up competition was fiercely contested, with departments bringing plenty of enthusiasm and creativity to the challenge. This year's winners were Science , who took home the coveted title! 🏆

A huge thank you to our wonderful English team for putting together another fantastic Book Week celebration. We also congratulate all of our students and staff who embraced the spirit of the week, dressed up, joined in the activities and helped make Book Week 2026 such a memorable celebration of reading and imagination.

There really is nothing quite like getting lost in a good book!
