Year 8 Students Embrace Stewardship Retreat with Faith and Action
Our Year 8 students recently participated in a meaningful Retreat focused on the theme of Stewardship, encouraging them to reflect on their responsibility to care for both creation and one another.
The day began at St Peter's Church, where students were invited to pause from their usual routines and spend time in prayer, reflection, and discussion. Throughout the morning, they explored how acts of kindness, compassion, and care for the environment can contribute to building a more just and caring world.
A memorable highlight of the Retreat was a beach clean-up at Dampier Palms. Working together, students collected rubbish along the shoreline, putting their faith into action while helping protect the local environment. The activity not only demonstrated respect for God's creation but also strengthened students' sense of teamwork and community spirit.
The Retreat provided a valuable opportunity for students to step outside the classroom, deepen their faith, and build stronger connections with their peers. Staff were proud of the enthusiasm, positivity, and purpose shown by all students throughout the day.
Well done to our Year 8 students for embracing the Retreat so wholeheartedly and for living out the values of stewardship in such a meaningful way.
