Celebrating the Class of 2025!
Friday, 24 October 2025

Graduation day was a truly memorable day for the St Luke's College community as we came together to celebrate the Class of 2025!

The day began with a whole-school assembly, attended by proud parents and our generous sponsors. The assembly was filled with heartfelt moments — from the final speeches by our Head Boy, Brian Nguyen, and Head Girl, Ella Dale, to a touching farewell message from graduate Kaylan Lynch, and a fun video celebrating the journey of the Class of 2025.

The assembly also featured the presentation of several prestigious awards:

Award Winners

  • Dux Award: Brian Nguyen

  • Proxime Accessit Award: Ella Dale

  • Industry Bound Dux Award: Sophie Anastazjew

  • Industry Bound Proxime Award: Shayla Vanos

  • Overall Excellence in School-Based Traineeship Award: Samuel Rasiah

  • Certificate IV Award: Sophie Anastazjew

  • Excellence in VET Award: Sophie Downham

  • Senior Spirit of Youth Award: Jearim Chakkupurakkal Sunny

  • KREI Seek Truth and Justice Award: Chloe Kukura

  • ADF Long Tan Award: Ella Dale

A huge thank you to all our sponsors for their continued support: Santos Limited, Rio Tinto, Yara Pilbara, Pilbara Real Estate, Pilbara Kimberley University Centre, Kevin Michel Member for Pilbara, Rapid Air, Westug, Cherratta Lodge, Australian Defence Force, and Woodside Energy.

The final presentation of the day was the prestigious Walkington Award, presented by Mayor Daniel Scott. Congratulations to Brian Nguyen, recipient of the 2025 Walkington Award for his outstanding academic achievements and exceptional community involvement.

Now in its 42nd year, the Walkington Award is presented annually by the City of Karratha to support a local Year 12 student in their tertiary studies. The $10,000 prize is named in honour of the late Dr. Al Walkington, Foundation Director of Karratha College (now North Regional TAFE).

The assembly concluded with a symbolic tunnel of farewell as the Year 12s walked out of the hall for the final time as St Luke's College students. The celebrations continued within each house, where students and staff gathered to reflect and share their best wishes.

The day ended with a meaningful Graduation Mass attended by staff, students, and parents, followed by a beautiful Graduation Dinner at REAP — a fitting finale to a special day.

We wish all our Year 12 students the very best in their future endeavours. The entire St Luke's community is incredibly proud of you and excited to see where your journeys will lead!
