2025 Interhouse Athletics Carnival

The College community gathered at Kevin Richards Oval on Thursday, 29 August, for the annual Interhouse Athletics Carnival, held in challenging hot and windy conditions. Despite the weather, the spirit of competition was strong, with both track and field events fiercely contested. Team scores remained incredibly close throughout the day, adding to the excitement and energy across the oval.

A sincere thank you goes to all students for their effort, determination, and sportsmanship, to the parents and friends who came along to support and assist, and to the staff, whose organisation and dedication made the carnival possible. The day was a wonderful display of community spirit, with plenty of cheering and colour filling the House tents.

While the competition was tight across all year groups, we congratulate the following individual medalists for their outstanding achievements:

Year 7

Girls: Runner-Up – Isabel Chambers (Harding) | Champion – Maiah Sioneloto (Maitland)

Boys: Runner-Up – Anesu Watadza (Nickol) | Champion – Flynn White (Maitland)

Year 8

Girls: Runner-Up – Sophie Reed (Maitland) | Champion – Mahlia Jordan (Nickol)

Boys: Runner-Up – Harrison Morley (Maitland) | Champion – Taye Rua (Nickol)

Year 9

Girls: Runner-Up – Matilda Giltinan (Fortescue) | Champion – Legacy Harris (Maitland) & Kaylee Muscat (Maitland)

Boys: Runner-Up – Dean Brooker (Fortescue) | Champion – Angus O'Brien (Harding)

Year 10

Girls: Runner-Up – Aaliyah Walsh (Nickol) | Champion – Alena Goh (Fortescue)

Boys: Runner-Up – Simba Watadza (Nickol) & Christian Hadley (Fortescue) | Champion – Cooper Leiper (Harding)

Overall Champions

The carnival concluded with the announcement of the Overall Champion House, with only a slim margin separating the top three.

1st – Harding (1723 points)

2nd – Fortescue (1692 points)

3rd – Maitland (1628 points)

4th – Nickol (1627 points)

The 2025 Interhouse Athletics Carnival was a day to remember, filled with impressive performances, House pride, and community spirit. Congratulations once again to all competitors and to Harding House, our overall champions.
