Year 7–9 Endeavour Awards Assembly
Students from Years 7 to 9 were celebrated this week during the annual Endeavour Awards Assembly, held to acknowledge and reward those who have shown outstanding dedication, effort, and academic progress since the beginning of the school year.
The assembly recognised students who have consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and commitment to their studies. In addition to academic achievements, students who have contributed to the school community through service were honoured with badges marking the hours they have dedicated to helping others.
One of the highlights of the assembly was the announcement of the Micro-Fiction Competition winner, with Sophie Downham taking out the top prize for her creative writing skills.
Students were also introduced to the upcoming Push-Up Challenge, an initiative designed to promote awareness and open conversations around mental health and suicide prevention. The challenge encourages students to get involved in a cause that supports wellbeing across the school and wider community.
The assembly concluded with the much-anticipated first House Points update for 2025. In a closely contested race, Fortescue emerged as the early leader, edging out the competition by just 98 points. The narrow margin has set the tone for a spirited and competitive year ahead across all Houses.
Principal and staff commended students for their achievements and their ongoing contributions to the school community, noting that the enthusiasm and effort displayed so far this year has been exceptional.
The Endeavour Awards Assembly continues to be a key event in recognising student success not only in academics, but also in character, creativity, and community engagement.
