Book Week 2024 was a magical success! Our theme, "Reading is Magic", came to life with fabulous costumes and our inaugural parade. Congrats to our winners: The Sorting Hat, Toy Story, and Rapunzel! Runners-up included Maze Runner, Effie, Shrek, Thing 1 and 2, and a special shoutout to Miss Braund, who transformed into Gru with her student minions!
The excitement didn't end there! We had an Extreme Reading Challenge with students submitting photos of themselves reading in wild locations—think rooftops, hanging over pools, rubbish bins, and even washing machines! Miss Mooney revived the language of old in some fun Shakespeare activities, while Mrs. Harmes' competition tested students on guessing teachers' favourite books. Tari impressed everyone by guessing 13 out of 15 correctly! Finally, Mrs Gillespie challenged our students to a fun Kahoot that tested their knowledge on all things reading in PCG.
