Holy Week is the most important week in the Catholic Church.
It is a time of great reverence and reflection of the final eight days of Jesus' life — from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday. On Holy Thursday St. Luke's commemorated the gift of the Eucharist, given to us at the Last Supper. We pass over from sin and death to mercy, communion and the fullness of life, through Jesus' total gift of himself. On this day when we especially celebrate the Lord's gift to us of His Body and Blood, we realize that when we receive the Body and Blood of Jesus, we receive God, who is Love.
During the mass we had out leaders get their feet washed, to then wash the feet of our students. It was a lovely way to reflect the final days of Jesus' life.
At the end of the mass we had our Student Executives and Miss Braund to announce the winners of the Easter Raffle. We would like the thank Woolworths and Lo's Cafe for donating an assortment of Easter goodies for our lucky winners.
