2023 Careers Expo

It has been a busy couple of weeks at St Luke's college! Last week our Year 9 – 12 students attended the Careers Expo 2023 held at the Karratha Leisureplex.

By attending the Expo, students were exposed to various industry stakeholders, enabling students to engage, network and find out more about the different career pathway opportunities. Students found the experience very rewarding, expanding on their knowledge of our local industry, what they have to offer and how students can create their pathway with so many options available.

We would like to thank EPIC for organising this annual event.

2023 Career Taster Program

Year 9 students had the opportunity to take part in the Career Taster program at North Regional TAFE.

This program is aimed at promoting career conversations, exploring future opportunities, and exposing students to various industry areas. This is an exciting time for young people to make their mark on the world: the world of work is changing and there are many opportunities to explore. Students engaged in programs across Mechanical Fabrication, Logistics and Supply Chain, Automation, Community Services - Individual Support and Hairdressing.

Students came away sharing their experiences during the program and grasping new skills and knowledge within particular industries which will hopefully start conversations around future career paths. We are very grateful for North Regional TAFE and their staff for their time and cooperation with the program.
