Drama and English Students watch Theatre Production of 'Cicada'.

Last Friday our Year 9-12 Drama and Year 12 English students visited the Red Earth Arts Precinct to view Barking Gecko Theatre Company's production of 'Cicada'. The show included wonderfully detailed visuals and incredible puppetry leaving the students and staff very impressed.

On Monday our Year 9-12 students enjoyed a Drama workshop with a Teaching Artist and Creative Consultant from Barking Gecko. The workshop allowed students to get up close to the props and puppets of the show and ask questions regarding the devising process. Students then enjoyed a practical workshop that explored the themes and characters of the text.
We would like to thank Carla and the Barking Gecko Team, alongside the Woodside Arts Access Initiative, for allowing St Luke's continuous opportunities to engage in the arts community.
