2023 Great Gatsby Ball

2023, a century too late for the Senior School Ball, as the students tried to recreate a dance hall from the good old days, when Mr Dale was just a boy.

Great Gatsby was the theme, and the night started with a couple of dapper fellas greeting the guests as they alighted from a plethora of modes of transport that delivered the students to the Ball.

Some arrived “dead”, yet pretty quickly were brought back to life (although some said he still needs to be checked for brain activity), whilst others were delivered by the army, parents, hotted up cars and motorbikes.

The students danced the night away, so much so that apparently any thought of food was forgotten, as a large quantity was left to be taken at the end of the night, and the waitresses got bored trying to get rid of plates of food.

Special awards were voted on by the guests on the night:

King of the Ball – Samual Ninaus

Queen of the Ball – Alyssa Alberd

Prince of the Ball – Bryce Mitchell

Princess of the Ball – Maka Murape

Best Dressed Male – Rohan Collins

Best Dressed Female – Ana Trost

Best Male Dancer – Ned Van Dongen

Best Female Dancer – Indiana Davis

A fantastic night for all, done and dusted for another year.

Special thanks to Mrs Pip Arthur for taking photos on the night, DJ Carl for keeping everyone up on the dancefloor all night, waitresses for supplying drinks and food and the staff for their attendance and work in setting up and packing away the decorations in the Gym.
