St Luke’s College is a Catholic co-educational college founded on the dual ethos of the Christian Brothers and the Presentation Sisters. We are a Catholic learning community seeking to develop young people to be the best they can be, make a positive difference in the world and actively live their faith.

The College opened in 1987 and is the Pilbara’s only Catholic secondary College, currently catering for 455 students from Years 7-12 from the city of Karratha, as well as the surrounding towns of Dampier, Wickham, Roeburne and Point Samson.

Term One, Number 2 - 9 March 2018

Year 7 Camp
A group of very tired Year 7 students and their teachers returned from a full week at camp in Coral Bay last Friday. By all accounts, everyone had a fantastic time. It was wonderful to see the expanded friendship groups which had been formed over the week, and the attending teachers certainly spoke highly of the conduct of the students throughout the trip.

Swimming Carnival
Our recent swimming carnival was a fantastic day enjoyed by students, parents and staff alike. The end result was very close indeed but ultimately Maitland House prevailed in both the Leprechaun Cup (novelty races) and the overall shield. Students are to be congratulated on their participation and sportsmanship throughout the day.

Friends of St Luke’s
Earlier this week, the parents and friends representative body of the College, The Friends of St Luke’s, affectionately known as FOSL, met for the first time this year. I’m pleased to say we had a number of new people come forward offering to be involved with FOSL this year, which is fantastic.
