Yr 8 STEM, Design and Building Bridges
This semester in Year 8 STEM, students have been designing and building bridges with the aim of making the strongest one possible. They were given a list of specifications that needed to be met and were only allowed to use 150 pop-sticks, 5 metres of string and 125 mL of PVA glue. Students were able to test their bridges at lunch times so other students could spectate and this year the standards were very high with the strongest bridge holding an impressive 46 kg before collapsing!. Congratulations to the following teams who made the top three:
- 1st Place (46 kg): Sophie Lyall, Abbey Wilkes & Jasmine Lewis
- 2nd Place (37.5 kg): Nate Hunter & Tom McNaught
- 3rd Place (35.5 kg): Arden Kronk
